Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Non destructive testing

Non-destructive testing (NDT) in the welding industry is an important method for checking the quality of welded joints without damaging them. We can detect any defects using techniques such as visual, penetrant, and magnetic testing. NDT is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of your welded work.

Our personnel are qualified according to EN ISO 9712 Level II, ensuring that our inspections meet the highest standards.

Visual testing

Visual inspection is essential for welds as it ensures compliance with design specifications and prevents structural issues before more advanced testing methods are applied.

Penetrant testing

During penetrant testing, we apply a low-viscosity liquid to your welding equipment. Any cracks will absorb this liquid, making them visible. This test helps to detect hidden defects that could affect the performance of your equipment or structure.

Magnetic testing

Magnetic testing uses a magnetic field to detect cracks and other defects in welded joints. These defects are made visible by using iron filings or a fluorescent substance. This technique is highly useful for welds because it quickly identifies critical defects that could compromise structural integrity without damaging the component.

Hardness Measurement

This method allows for a quick, on-site asssessment of your material and weld. With the use of a portable indenter instrument, we measure and evaluate the materials hardness properties (HB, HV, HRC).
